Target is a retail company and they have stores across the nation. They have products that range from home goods, clothing, food, and toys. On their website, they have tabs at the bottom of the home page that directs you to their social media accounts. They post on their social media accounts daily.

2. Southwest Airlines - southwest.com
Southwest Airlines is an international, travel company. Southwest Airlines serves 88 domestic destinations and 15 international destinations in 12 countries. Their social media accounts are very active. There are new posts everyday and sometimes they post multiple times a day on an account. They have links at the bottom of their website to their social media accounts.

3. Starbucks - starbucks.com
Starbucks is an international, food and beverage company. They have stores in every city and almost every country. There are 14,758 stores in the United States, compared to only one in Andorra which is a small country in Europe. Their social media accounts are very active, always promoting their newest beverage or food. There are links to their social media at the bottom of their website.

4. Warby Parker - warbyparker.com
Warby Parker is an international, eyewear company. They are mainly sells their glasses and sunglasses online but they do have retail stores in the United States and Canada. They also have a "buy a pair, give a pair" program that helps people get eye exams and glasses cheaply. There are tabs at the end of the website for their social media accounts. They post daily on most of their social media accounts.

Netflix is an international, media company. They are a streaming service and a production company that makes original tv shows and movies. They have over a 148 million subscribers worldwide and available in many countries except a handful. To find their social media accounts, you have to go to their media center page and there are links on the bottom of the page. They post daily on all of their social media accounts.

Analysis:
All of these companies have two things in common: they listen and care about their customers. They're not afraid to message a customer who wrote a post about having a bad experience. They also listen to their customers when they voice a concern and take that into recognition for the future. These companies are able to do all of that just by using social media. The most used platforms are Facebook and Twitter. They are the most effective in connecting with customers and customer service.
For example on Southwest Airlines Facebook page, they post about a viral dance off in an airport terminal or about their successful Medical Transportation Grant Program. And on Twitter they post about travel advisories and new movies for inflight entertainment. I think they use each social media platform the right way. Facebook is useful sharing long videos or articles. Twitter is good for sharing quick information and updates on the company. I learned that the way to have a successful social media page for a business is to post daily, have attention grabbing content, and listen to your followers.
